Omar (Ft Uptown) – Keep Steppin (DJ Premier Mix)
The Lost Record is a blog that shines a light on records that never made the move to digital (notably Spotify or Apple). At best these records have a Youtube fan upload.

Omar (MBE) is the most underrated yet highly rated soul singer in the UK, he hasn’t crossed into the mainstream since “Nothing Like This” was signed by Giles Peterson in 1992. On this collab he works David Frank, high profile L.A. producer and songwriter. The remix is by DJ Premier. The Engineer is Eddie Sancho (known for his work with Jay Z, Naz & Gang Starr). The guest vocalist is Uptown (from the Bboy classic ‘Dope On Pastic’ on Tommy Boy), he was also a member of hip hop, jazz outfit Buckshot LeFonque on Columbia Records. It all boils together as a HOT record, no disappointments. Stick it on, LOUD!
Is this record lost: Amazingly YES, considering the names and label behind it.
The Lost Record is the endless search for vinyl tracks not available (at time of publish) on iTunes/Apple Music or Spotify
