Refund policy

We want you to be happy with every record you buy from us. This policy explains your rights if you change your mind or if something isn't right with your order. It doesn't affect your statutory rights as a consumer in the UK.
Changed your mind? You have 14 days
If you buy online you can cancel your order for any reason within 14 days of the day you receive it. Just email us at orders@released.co.uk with your order number and tell us you'd like to return it. You then have a further 14 days to post it back to us.
Please send items back in the condition you received them. Second-hand records are graded and checked before they go out, so we'll check the grade again when they come back. If something has been damaged or played to the point that its value has dropped, we may take that off the refund.
Sealed records: new records that arrive factory-sealed can only be returned for a change of mind if the shrink-wrap hasn't been opened. This is allowed under UK law for sealed audio recordings. It doesn't affect your rights if a sealed record turns out to be faulty.
Faulty, damaged or not as described
If a record arrives damaged, has a manufacturing fault, or doesn't match its listed grade or description, email us within 30 days with your order number and a photo if you can. We'll put it right with a replacement or a full refund, and we'll pay for the return postage.
We grade all second-hand records using the Discogs grading system. Please bear in mind that a used record is judged against its stated grade, not against a new copy.
How to return an item
Please email us first so we know it's on its way, then send it to:
Released Records Returns
c/o Outlaws Yacht Club
38 New York Street
Leeds
LS2 7DY
United Kingdom
Pack records carefully in a proper record mailer, as we can't refund items that are damaged on the way back to us. We recommend using a tracked service and keeping your proof of postage.
Return postage
If you're returning something because you've changed your mind, you pay for the return postage. If the item is faulty, damaged or not as described, we'll cover it.
Refunds
We'll refund you within 14 days of receiving the item back, or of you showing us proof of postage, whichever comes first. Refunds go back to your original payment method. If you cancel your whole order, the refund includes the standard delivery cost you paid. Your bank may take a few days to show it.
Exchanges
The quickest way to swap is to return the item for a refund and place a new order.
Gift cards
Gift cards can't be refunded or exchanged for cash.
