Jimmy Turnbull
Jimmy Turnbull is a DJ and producer from Australia, now based in Manchester.
One Thing (WC005, August 2025) came to him on the long bus home from Southport Weekender, still buzzing from the soul and intensity of the music he'd heard there. It's a piano-laden house track, hypnotic and heavy, with a rolling bassline and moody chords made for heads-down moments, and a soulful vocal break that nods to Adeva.
On the flip, Working Classics boss Shauna strips out the vocal and turns up the chug in her Outlaws Chug Dub, named after the Leeds bar.
