It has a great backstory, too, that involves Berry Gordy taking some of his Motown stars on holiday to Jamaica in 1969. Some of them recorded with local musicians in the upcoming reggae scene but the sessions were though lost, until now. Well, it sounds like that could be true, but it isn't - in fact they are the work of Mako & Mr Bristow and are two crowd pleasing tunes with reggae, soul and funk deep in their bones. 'Uptight Boss' in particular is a timeless classic.
