7″ #2 from York’s DJ Bob Burrows (Dead Funky) is another heavy selection.

Artist: London Fogg

Track: Trippin
Year: 1970
Label: Imperial
Format: 7″ Vinyl
Country: US
Written by Brenda Lee Jones

Another gem goes into the box of tricks. This is an excellent up tempo jazz funk number from one of Staten Islands biggest cover bands.  They were heavily influenced by the British music scenes of the 60’s and 70’s and are still touring today.

This makes a great crossover track for the funk heads and b-boy breaks lovers and always smashes the dance floor.

(also worth noting this track was written by the wonderful Brenda Lee Jones from Baltimore – check out “This is the Me Me” from 1976  – and the label Imperial is now owned by Universal – Editors Note)

Is this record lost: YES!

Words: DJ Bob Burrows
